Hi all...

ive been digging through all my old CD as of late and i came across 'speading the disease' and scott and dans tone on here is killer. I relaise that they were all marshall at this time, or so i think, but what models and anyone got any tips on how to get there?

My setup at the moment is....

USA BC Rich Warlock WHS Deluxe
Mesa Rectoverb 50W 1x12 Combo
Marshall 1960AV 4x12 cab

The guitars ready to take it on, but my rectos not really up to this tone, im looking into an Original Marshall JCM800 2203 at the moment or maybe a 30th anniversary 6100, you think i could get close with these?

Thanks

James

Marshall heads and cabs, and probably Jackson guitars.

i realise that much, but hes know for having used the whole marshall line at some point, this was probably the 800 2203 era, but then it could well have been modded as many were. Mike Tempestia (powerman 5000) was his old tech and told me that he also used a TC Electronics Line Driver/Booster, which complicated matters even further.

ok heres what you need

Jackson type guitar (jokin), but must have Seymore Duncan JB pickups --> TC Electronic Booster ---> Marshall JCM 800 (non-modded i believe) ---> BBE Sonic Maximizer ---> full stack

I have everything except the Marshall and the BBE sonic Maximizer, got a Mesa Dual Recto.. I can almost dupe his tone.
