Any API 500 Series users in here?

The great river tends to do the exact opposite to sources to what I actually want. It essentially semi-saturates and muddies everything you run through it. We did a massive preamp shoot-out a while ago, involving the great river, the 3124, buzz audio ma2.2 etc. etc. Buzz audio > everything. I've been trying to like the thing based on hype, but it seems I've never been one for the 'Neve' sound.

I've got 4 API 512c's here as well as an MP2NV and a Vintech Dual 72. They all have their uses, & they're all frakkin' awesome!

i do love the chandler i do i do i do, but thats the tg2! the germanium can sometimes be a bit too coloured and thick, but it is awesome.
They're all lovely colours, just pick your favourite

Ah, I didn't know there were differences between the Chandlers, good to know!
