Any bands from the USA?

Most of the bands I listen to are from Sweden or Norway, or some other part of the world, but I only listen to two bands that are from the USA (that I'm aware of).

I know the US has a retarded music scene/industry, but can it be that bad that we don't have many good metal bands?

Anyone know of any from the USA?

Symphony X hail from New Jersey I believe, certainly one of my favorite’s to come out of the United Sates.

And Kamelot is one of the few power metal bands I can stand, I suggest The Fourth Legacy.

hmn, im gonna do a poll, best place for metal or something, i think that after Scandanavia, Britain is a great metal place, theres loads of it here thats great, a lot of good bands never make the big times, which is sad.

I couldn't agree more. The talent is there, its just there's no real metal scene, except for nu-metal. I live in Birmingham, a city with over a million people, and i usually have to go to london for underground metal bands.

Having said that, Opeth are playing in 10 days. Thank you Opeth for playing Birmingham, where metal began.
