Any Big Car Stereo's Booming Opeth Out There

Lettice .Ain't no RABBIT.
I have at the moment $25,000.00 worth of stereo system in my car-I fucking love seeing the dirty looks of some tight assed, stuck up jerks when I pull up next to them pumping out 156 db of OPETH. Thats enough for me each day!!! I am planning on re-doing my stereo with about $45,000.00 of FUSION car audio (just started a new job with them-getting it cheap) as is stands at the moment its real loud but not super clean. But the bass is fucken tight and double bass just smashes you. There must be other car audio freaks out there playing death.

wOw, very nice:D If I were a girl, I would love to ride with you;)
Seriously: I just love driving my father's Peugeot 206 + some death metal (Bloodbath lately;) Of course It all happens at the speed of about 150km/h :D
I think I'm gonna die in a car accident, sooner or later. <lol>

This summer I'm going to U.S with the aim of earning some cash for my own car:D
p.s how much can I earn during, let's say - 6 weeks, as a physical worker:/ ? (off-topic question, I know:)
p.p.s yeah, what's your car?

if you REALLY want to piss someone off, blast the crown/cryptopsy through the speakers, 10x faster, louder, no soft interludes etc, I would love to do that shit =p

With all due respect, but it's really fucking stupid to spend 45,000 dollars on a fucking stereo....jeez.....

I like lots of sound, but this is just retarded...

I spent $2,500, extreme in my view, but compared to some of the $10,000+ systems I've heard at shows, I'll take mine anyday - less $$, great sound. No offense because I assume your system sounds awesome, but when I went to shows over the summer, I heard various systems in the $10,000 to $20,000 range, and absolutely 100% did not hear $15,000 better sound than mine. The ears can only take so much, and my $2,500 will make you deaf.

Simple set-up mine is (in my 1997 Lincoln Town Car)- Alpine CDA-9807 deck, JL audio 12" sub, JL Audio 500/5 amp, Boston Acoustics components in the door, and BA 6x9"s in the rear, along with the necessary expensive wiring (where so many people incorrectly cheap out).

156 db? That's pretty loud. Shouldn't you be deaf by now?

i agree w/absent friend. i would never in my right mind spend 25k on a friggin stereo. i got my headunit for 250 dollars, and speakers for under 200 dollars, and it sounds pretty friggin good loud. i don't need to blow out my ear drums, yet it does go loud, and sound good at loud volumes. cost? 450 dollars. 25000 is just unnecessary.

I spent 2 grand on my stereo. Pioneer mp3 cd player deck, 2-12" pioneer subs, the rest of rockford speakers, 2 in the dash, 2 in door, 2 components under the back window. Rockford amp for the back 2 speakers and a rockford amp for the 2-12" subs. I'm just waiting for summer time to drive down a busy road to play some metal. :D

Like I said it bangs the bass real tight but the rest of the sound needs improving. Remember the keep it simple stupid saying, this applies in car audio to if you have to much stuff you destroy signal quality, physco accoustic's etc. Which has happened in my car-looks real shit hot and cranks, but not what I was really wanting in sound. The car is a Mitsubishi 1993 Verada (Diamante) and the stereo is now 4 years old. It has a MTX RFL 15" sub with a BAGEND bass processor running 4 Fusion Jonah D class amps pushing the sub with 5000wrms at 12 volts. Diamond Audio Hex eights in the front doors, sixes and tweets in the kicks, sixes in rear fill running of three Fusion Jonah 4 channel amps. In dash I have a Pioneer in dash screen, processor and Head unit in the sun visor. Fusion 10 stack DVD in dash above glovebox and a Mstation 120 gig Hard drive mp3 in the glove box, a Fusion 10" roof mount drop screen, and a pioneer audio selector to select between sources. Plus 5 Fusion batteries and interconnects are top quality Monster Cable. But I'm selling this and buying a Mitsubishi GTO / 3000gt VR4. This is what the new gear is going into. Using some of my old stuff but mostly new-I'm only paying $7000 (Only because I work for FUSION Australia) but retail is $45000. I should get it right this time. I will be going for near impossible of loud but clear? I don't think its stupid as I own my own home, have 3 kids, one is leaving home just turned 17, I have a second family car what else do I spend my money on? I don't get into home stereo-I don't know why and I'm in my car 4 hours plus a day. End of point for me.

But getting back to it yes I am nearly deaf lol

click the link in my sig to see what i've got - i hit about 150 dB with my current setup, and i've only put about $500 into it (in terms of audio)

I looked at your car but don't lie about your spl level as you just embarrassed yourself as you would only be getting 137-142 db max. I'm not rubbishing your stereo or how much you spent on it because theres proberly fuck all difference in sq anyway but just that theres no need to lie.

i got a system in my car, i think it cost me about $2000 when i got it installed. Opeth sounds amazing, especially black water park. other good ones: bloodbath, fear factory, tool, in flames-clayman and arch enemy

you guys are stupid as fuck. my car has a $120 deck and $30 speakers...and guess what, i can hear the music JUST FINE! jesus, some of you need to learn the word budget.

I have a good enough stereo system in my car, and I said 'good enough' in my own opinion because I don't really care about amplifiers or subs, big speakers, brands, etc. I just have a couple kenwood tweezers, some brand of speakers that have good watts, and a good enough cd player.

However, I do play Opeth and other metal songs in my car, not too loud but loud enough for the sound to escape out of my windows and into the streets lol. I love it.
