Which setup do you use to get the Saxon sound? What is your favourite sound in a Saxon song?
I am somehow still addicted to the Wheels Of Steel sound, pure RocknRoll. But I really dig the new sound on the Killing Ground album.

The original 80's saxon material sounds dated to me now but the quality of most of the songs shines through giving that timeless metal feel to the music. Killing ground shows what the band are all about though with great production and lots of epic tracks.

CANT HELP YOU WITH GUITAR SOUDS AS I USED TO BE THE SINGER/SHOUTER. BUT THE BEST SAXON GUITAR I THINK WAS ON THE ROCK THE NAITIONS ALBUM IT SOUNDED BOTH OLD AND NEW (AT THE TIME)SORRY CANT HELP YOU WITH EFECTS ARE USED
