Any Masonic Brothers on the board?

My ex-girlfriends dad is a Freemason, and since the rest of the family was all girls, they were in an Eastern Star Chapter on Long Island. She got inducted one night, i was invited, but i had to sit in the basement of this place at the bar by myself to watch a Yankees game because something so secretive and exclusive was going on upstairs. So therefor, for me, it was just a club that serves pasta, wine and gives out prizes.

"There is another critical problem in the Star—a reason why no Christian [My exgirlfriend's family was Episcopalian] woman would wish to be a part of this organization.

Set (Lucifer) is the acknowledged god of Masonry. Thus, what does it mean for a Christian woman to be adopted into the Star? She is submitting herself to the spiritual authority of Lucifer." Mankind at it's finest.

Congratulations!
Thanks!

Yep, congrats. I have no idea what it entails (we don't have these secret lodge things in Belgium), but good on you for achieving what you set out to! :)
Thanks Stormo! It's one hell of a journey but it's life changing to say the least.

And btw, you absolutely have Freemasonry in Belgium. Don't count the statement short when I tell you its literally a Worldwide fraternity. In fact, Belgium even has a Grand Lodge for WOMEN! Now, naturally, these female Masons would never be recognized any where else in the world, but yeah, there are jurisdictions that allow these things.

Wtf you talkin' bout?

yeah last I checked it even says on the website that when you apply they say something like "we don't care who your god is it's up to you (but as long as you have a god!)"

Wow, people seriously talking about secretive religious cults. What is this? The Middle-Ages?

We may have it, but no one really puts that much importance in these types of organisations over here. Still, good on you if it'll improve your life! :)

With Masonry, being that it's a fraternal brotherhood and whatnot, does that give you an edge over other people in the job market? Would a Mason be hired over a non-Mason in a company if the person hiring were a Mason? Honestly...I'm curious. If so, I'm gonna become a Mason.

Srsly. I'll do virgin sacrifices or participate in group orgies or whatever if it means I can get a good job. I'll learn the secret handshake and put colorful pentagrams on my car, no problem.
