Any opinion about my "wishlist" ?

For corner and bass traps, that's what I'm gonna do. I'm ok to afford the auralex, but I'll make my own bass traps cause it's damn expensive. I will try some things.

Yeah, foam ain't gonna do much for bass, which is where treatment is most essential IMO - bass traps need to be some sort of rigid, porous material (rigid fiberglass is most common, rockwool is a more affordable option that's pretty much as good but can get flaky over time :ill: ) and should straddle the corners, for example:

And check this vid for help with DIY'ing bass traps:

I was wondering, before putting something serious in the corner, what about putting things in order to "break" the corner, so that there is no corner anymore ? Does that work ?

If it's the right "things" it would work, but sticking some piece of furniture there would have marginal effect. You need foam, rigid fiberglass or rockwool.

Hey I've come to another idea dudes. As I'm planning on having a few plugins that work for not too much dollars (I should say, euros!). What about getting an UAD-1 ? It is supposed to be able to run 16 instances, which would maybe do the job for basic projects, costs the same as a 2 or 3 stillwell or voxengo plugs, and I could still mix with other cheap plugins for the biggest projects ?

Are there alternatives to the yamaha and the tannoy in that range of price ?

EDIT : found also :

dynaudio bm5a, adam's a7, prodipe pro8, yamaha hs80m, event tr6, yamaha msp5

I would love to try them but I guess I couldn't. Although, the Yamaha hs80m seem to be a standart.
