Slipknot rarely gets a mention here but i fucking love this band.

When i first played there self titled debut it brought back memories of pantera's far beyond driven record.

abrasive,bludgening riffs agressive are a few thing that come to mind in describing those two records!!!!!!!

slipknot is awesome, but some people take the shit to extremes and start calling them black metal, of course these people are posers proportional with linkinpark followers, i think slipknot is just good hardcore that is good to jam to,
the new side project that sounds like nickelback! it sucks! i saw it on mtv with some slipknot dudes in it im like bla!

Good band, good image, good show. Overrated and overblown?? A tad, but it isn't like they are on radio and MTV every minute - they are about as big now as Pantera was w/ FBD, which is cool. Big, but not like Korn or Deftones where you get ill hearing it.

I love these Guys! I think Iowa is a great album. That was the most metal sounding album I have heard in a long time.

I like them enough to listen to an mp3 or two. I wouldn't buy a cd, theres too many others I need. Plus I don't suffer from the misconception that they're anything but nu-metal.

I bought the self titled album to see what all the fuss was about. It wasn't long before I got rid of that CD. I think Slipknot are awful.
