Anybody around here meet the band yet?

Now I'm sure this has been talked about many times before, but just humour the new guy (me), and tell me about the band. I've never even heard them talk in an interview, and I wanted to know what they were like
So just tell me if you met any of the band members (past or present), and something about them, besides the obvious, Chuck is a big mother fucker

I met Dave Lombardo at a Slayer show...real nice guy
