I caught an episode of it on TV yesterday. Its with Ozzy and Sharon, and like 10 bands or something perform lame tasks for the right to go to Ozzfest, and to receive a recording contract agent etc. They only played short like 10 second clips of the bands, but a few sounded pretty good, most were playing a mixture of melo-death, slipknot inspired, metalcore style. One clip sounded modern thrash. I was expecting to hear some pathetic limp bizkit or Trapt sounding shit, but was pleasantly surprised.
The funny thing was how many of the bands trying out, seemed to be trying to make it on their image, rather than music. One group was comprised of a group of fat white men wearing viking armor.
