I just found a decent sized collection of magic cards that I had from a few years ago. Wondering if I could make a few bucks off of it or if its just a waste of time?

Depends what's in there, really.
Depending on which set/s most of them are from that could be a good thing or a bad thing too. Something like Time Spiral or Future Sight and you could be in luck. On the flip side though there's stuff like Ravnica and Mirrodin which (in general) aren't worth that much.

I have LOADS of them. Played for about 6 months when I was like 14 or something.. LOL. Want to get rid of that shit as well, have NO idea how much that could be and have also NO idea which cards are rare and which are not
Thats the same situation im in. Except for I never played it, just aquired alot and dont know if its worth it to sort through every single card. I know I have one deck from ice age? and another one thats called urzas saga. The rest I just have organized by color lol.
Shit, i'll gladly trade my set for a tube amp, or anything recording related lol. I'll probably end up using whatever money I get off of it to purchase some form of gear anyway.

EDIT: Shit, just re-read the thread...you wanna sell them? Depends what you got mate, but in general, learning what costs what and what's in and what isn't might be too much of a hassle considering what you'll make out of it.

I used to fiddle around with them magical cards when I was 10 or so. Gave them away for free in the end.

If they're in mint condition, then you may get something from them. A few of the rares and what have you from the Urza block are worth >$5, with a few up in the $15-$20 range, but again it really depends what you've got, cos others are worth squat
From what I can see, Ice Age stuff is worth pretty much nothing unfortunately. A couple of dollars here and there, but nothing really crazy.

I would say, find the most expensive cards, sell them one by one for their real price, and sell the rest as a whole.
Thats gonna take a lot of time lol, is there a website or some shit that lists the values of the cards?
Also most if not all of the cards that arent in the original deck box are in plastic sleeves and basically mint condition.
