Anybody want to hear my insane life story?

I don´t know you, and i don´t think we ever talked on here too, but all i can say is, that i´m so fucking proud of you.

While I agree that you should forgive your mother and move on, this type of thing can take decades. My mother is in her late 40's and is only now learning to accept what her mother (and sisters) have done to her when she was young.

Dont rush things. Live life as you're doing now, as it comes. Eventually you will find peace with the situation, on your own terms.

I think these kinds of stories are more common than you might think! Not trying to diminish your experience at all. I know people that have suffered the most horrible sexual abuse etc. and grown up to be fine, nice, normal citizens. I also know people with great families and every opportunity in life that are tormented by depression etc. and act like total dicks. I think our biggest adversary in this life might be our own minds...

So true! Lots of people are completely destroyed from sexual abuse. While I did have a good amount of it as a kid it never really bothered me. Maybe its because it was from my brother? Idk, never really effected me

man...
i held my breath while reading. you must be as tough as a volcanic rock dude.
i can never imagine how it was like growing up like that, i'd imagine tough that you've lost all trust in anything human, that's what i would have done.

still, going through all of that... these days probably nothing can get to you. and that's a very big advantage.

Glad I read this today. Wasn't in such a good mood and this made me realise how much better off I am than so many others. If you wrote a book, I'd read it.

I'm not sad about reading your dad beat up your mom, she actually deserved for what she did to you
You feel I'm a bad person? I'm not!
Respecting your children is the first thing to do in life, as we say in italy "they're blood of your own" something like this
Maybe if she didn't steal your money your brother didn't end up in jail
These things piss me off a lot, I hate parents like this

More damn it, more!
Kinda got disappointed. Really getting into that and it kinda ends too early lol

Man, your story made my childhood sound like paradise. Thank you for sharing man. And some serious kudo's for coming out of it in the way you did/do. Somehow I feel like you will be able to live your dream.

This.

Your story reminded me of the John "Bloodclot" Joseph (Cro-mags singer) story (cf his "evolution of a cro-magnon" biography, a must-read), and now i can see how insane life conditions can turn somebody into a real badass person (which you seem to be) providing they keep their shit together no matter what happens around them. (John Joseph example : ex-molested child / drug addict / con artist, now turned vegetarian / athletic / badass hxc singer / writer / cook for the homeless people)
I'd never switch my past life with yours, but reading your story gave me the right slap in the face to stop complaining about petty things and go out there do real shit instead instead of being lazy and just "getting by", which is not life is about IMO. IIRR that was also the goal of your thread and it succeeded IMO.

Write that auto biography!

Definitely ! People wanna read that kind of "see how i made it through my past fucked-up life" stories and inspires them to be less complaining and more active/positive in life.

And i'm pretty sure it will be like a catharsis for you, releasing all these things on paper.

And last but not least, i think it doesn't cost much for you to put it "out there", with the Internet/Ebook age and everything.

thank you guys so much, I didn't really expect any responses.

Just for fun, I'm gonna post that story of getting pulled over with the gun in the car etc. Its a neat one

So this guy, we will call him "Terrell", became friends with me while I was working at the factory. He was an ex crip who was working there to try to get his life back together. He used to pick me up and drive me to work sometimes (so i didn't have to walk an hour or two to work). One day we were driving back to my place down the main street of my town. Terrell made a right at a red light (legal in New Jersey) but supposedly didn't use his turn signal. He also had a suspended license at the time. Then I soon find out that he had a gun in his car and a bunch of drugs to. So we get pulled over and Terrell starts bugging out. I was like what the hell is going on? Then he told me. I nearly shit my pants. The cop walks up, shines his light in the back of the car and tells Terrell to get out. He asks him for his license and goes back to his police car. 5 minutes later the cop gives Terrell his license and says have a nice night. Terrell sits back down in his car and just smiles and starts driving. I was bugging out like "What the fuck just happened?" "Why are we not in jail right now?!".

Turns out, Terrell told the officer that he only had his old provisional license on him. He gave that to the cop knowing it would take longer to look up his info. While the cop was in his car, Terrell called the police department of the cop that pulled us over. He said that the officer told him to get out of the car. Turns out that an officer is not allowed to do that for a traffic violation (no turn signal). The officer is also not allowed to shine his light in the back of the car if nobody is in there because the officer has no legitimate reason to. Terrell wasn't the smartest in the world, but he was a fucking genius when it came to shit like that. When he called the police department, they dispatched to the officer and told him to let him go because they didn't want to face illegal police action in court.

Stories like this kinda make it all worth it, so many crazy experiences that you learn from.

awesome hahaha

Woah... now I really feel like a spoiled brat. Also, I can't believe this happened in one of the supposedly "most developed" countries on this planet.. the US's social security system is the worst and saddest joke I've ever heard of.
Congrats for making it through and becoming a "normal" person after all what happened to you. I think most people would've gone mad and/or became addicts / criminals / wife-beating dicks or all three of them in your situation. I hope you have a little more good luck in the future :)

thanks! Whats even crazier is that we live in the 4th richest county in the United states!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_highest-income_counties_in_the_United_States

(Hunterdon County)

There are alot of people who live here who are extremely poor. Only problem is there are 4 towns in this county with some of the richest people in the country.

I was so poor at one time of my life that the only way we ate is was when our chicken (we had a few donated by a family friend) laid eggs. I remember my alcoholic mom would wake me up in the morning and ask me to go check the shed to see if there were any eggs so we could eat. My father wasn't around during that time because he couldn't stand my alcoholic mom. He would send me money every time that he could. But that's a long story that only lasted about 8 years. We're all together now living in a decent house making middle class income and i'm hopefully going to get accepted at the nursing program at my JC. Hopefully your family can go to rehab and get their act together, mine did over time. I recommend you take a psychology course if you haven't already. You will learn about drugs and how they change people. To be honest with you...that your mom was/is an addict, those type of people aren't themselves when they're on drugs (alcohol is a downer). Was she by any chance into narcotics (Oxycontin, Percocet, opiate, morphine, heroin, etc) those things change you the most because your brain will no longer produce good-feeling neurotransmitters so basically you feel like shit all the time til you have these drugs that promote well being. I remember an ex-addict came to talk to our class and he would say that he would steal drugs away from his friends and then help them look for them (even know he had them in his pocket) thats how bad it gets. Another thing to keep in mind, is maybe your mom's bf makers your mom give him the money. My brother has a kid with his ex wife, their daughter is sick and needs special medication, well, i heard that my brothers ex wife boyfriend would take my nieces medication and sell it to get money for drugs, we were all unaware of the situation. Everytime my brothers ex wife wanted to say something her bf would beat her. There are so many variables to consider. I hope, like i said, they can get their act together, its possible, but it will take time.

Pretty interesting story roflsaurusrex. It kinda made me appreciate the way I grew up.

Waiting for more stories from you!!

Am I the only one who picked up on the brother anal sex no big deal comment? I wanna hear THAT part of the story!

Seriously though, I'm very sorry to hear about your mom and everything you've been through, and glad you're making it out alive and well.

haha! Yeah that story is better off untold unfortunately

I'm feeling really good right now. I just bought a new guitar and computer so I couldn't be any happier. My uncle is going to see her tonight to break the news of "listen I know your a cunt so I'm gonna be legally responsible for his money now".

I will keep you posted!
