I've done DMT about 5 times. As a "drug", if you can call it that, Dimethyltryptamine is a natural chemical found in human brains and some plants. It is related to dreaming, memory, and near-death "life flashes before your eyes" experiences. That happens because DMT is released in your brain at a time it normally wouldn't, so you can imagine a DMT trip (usually around 1-10 minutes long) is very similar to that. It is mostly visual, with images tessellating and warping. It has sometimes been described as seeing "magical machine elves" in popular texts. It is usually smoked/vaped (which is done by hovering a lighter high above it as not to burn and ruin the chemical), and the effects are instantaneous. It can be VERY intense, although not in a "bad trip" sense, just overwhelming. It effects everybody very differently, but expect bizarre visuals and a memory overload. DMT is a natural chemical in your body, and there is no lethal dose. It will just stop effecting you. 5-MEO-DMT is a chemical found in plants and is secreted through a gland in Bufo Alvarius Toads (combined with Bufotenine {spelling?}) and thats where the "licking a toad" phenomenon comes from. Would I recommend it? Sure, if you feel up to it. Its not dangerous, and is very short in duration. It is intense at even small doses (which are measured in milligrams). Hope that helps you Gareth.
