as much as I like having the uber cult handmade packaging for Maiastru Sfetnic, the damn thing doesn't fit in my CD rack. bah....

Agreed. The packaging may look really nice, but it's EXTREMELY difficult to find an easy place to store the off-sized digi's. The 'n Crudu Bradului box is another example.

You're not saying that you'd have rather just bought that album in a regular jewel case are you? That's some of the most beautiful packaging I've ever seen.

Yeah, they're just double. I paid EXTRA just to get the Primordial in digipak format (granted it comes with that excellent "making of" documentary with the girl and the violin, and Noel Redding's Orange bass amp etc) and it's also double in width.

The storage problem occurs after you pick up multiple off-sized digipaks. I mean, a few of them can hold places of prominence in your collection scattered about as wall or mantle flowers or something, but once you have like 20 of those things, where the hell do you put them????

Nah, that packaging does indeed rule (though the silver sticker ruined it for me when I couldn't get it off without tearing the packaging), it's just a pain to find a good way to store it and show it off at the same time.

By "mantle flowers" I simply mean putting an off-sized digipak, like our friend 'N Crugu Bradului on top of a mantle, or on top of a dresser, or entertainment center, or.... etc., you know, as a decorative, show-off piece. But when you have like 20-30 off-sized digipaks, you run out of "mantle flower" space you know.
