I got a job offer there. I don't know anyone who has been there to give me a first hand, honest opinion. I've obviously never been there myself. I know it's polluted, but how's the city itself? I hear it's enthralling and the nightlife is sick. Chinese girls are easy, too, from what I hear. I pretty much clean up here, so over there I'm sure it would be a joke.

dunno about bejing, but the last apartments i lived in were like 80% chinese, and people yelling chinese at each other is REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING

I never lived in Beijing but I lived in another Chinese city for half a year. From what I've heard lately Beijings still gotten further than alot of other cities with cleaning up their act with the pollution and tried to make it at least a little more friendly for foreigners. I loved it when I was there, so all I can say is go for it dude.
yea it's either Beijing or Turkey as of now. Turkey was my goal cuz I want to live in Istanbul but the offer I have isn't there; it's in a remote part of the country and quite conservative. I'm thinking of Seoul, too, as it's supposed to be fucking awesome. I might do a year in Beijing for the experience then make my way over to Istanbul if it works out.

I've been to Seoul; it's a huge city, really cool and modern. Everything in Korea's dirt cheap, too.

Except for Japan. Korea's a pretty dirty place, but Seoul has just about anything you could ever ask for and is very new and clean compared to the rest of the country, aside from places in the south like Taegu. It's also a quick flight to Okinawa and even closer to northern Japan. Okinawa is fucking gorgeous and the people are super cool and nice.

that they are, nice beaches and shuri castle was interesting to visit because I was 9 and I had a hard time standing straight up in the castle because I kept hitting my head on the ceiling... I remember Naha had a lot of cool shops too but it's been years.

Yeah, heard the same. Apparently western men are a beauty ideal over there. Shame that 90% of Chinese women are uglier than Wiggles. So you'll have to go for that hot-ass 10%.

Yep! Been there...crazy busy city. Lots to see and close to other nice cities. There's a monster Fiat factory just outside the city. English is sparse. Pretty cool at night with lots of neon.
Edit: Careful if at a hotel. Within 30min of checking in, you'll get calls offering girls; and knocks on the door at all hours through the night. Use the peep hole!
