I had my Dishnetwork satellite TV turned on to the metal music station and that song came on. I actually can't tolerate death metal vocals much, and I can't stand the vocals on this song either, but the musician's are freaking bad-ass !! There is a little bit of the math metal in there with some of the strange off time stuff, but it isn't overdone. I don't think I could bear buying the release due to the vocal style, but that is one talented band that takes just enough of that weird rythm of the math metal and mixes it with aggressive music. It's pretty cool stuff.

That is on their 03 release "As the Palaces Burn" which I don't have (and haven't heard), but I'm not surprised. I saw them live last year, and they were pretty damn tight, and pretty damn good too. The guitarists were ripping it up.

I'm not crazy about the vocals either, but I can somewhat tolerate them. Sacrament from '06 was a fine release. Check out the song "Walk with me in hell". And the in between album Ashes of the Wake kicks too.

Yes Ruin is a very good song and Lamb of God I think is very good as well. I am seeing them live tomorrow night. I can understand if you don't like the vocal, I however love them but everyone has their tastes right. The instrumental is also very good

I like some Lamb of God and that's one of their better songs. Their first album, New American Gospel, is the best. I dislike their recent one "Sacrament".

I am surprised that their popularity just skyrocketed the past few years.

Of course I have all their albums...

I got As the Palaces Burn 4 years ago when it came out.

If you don't like something, then don't listen to it. Chris Alder (the drummer) is actually really good. I'd suggest you listen to more of their stuff. The vocals are a little bit harsher on the first two full length cds and ruin is not a good example for someone who's new to the band (not saying its bad, songs from those two are among my favorites). Check out Ashes of the Wake or maybe Sacrament the quality is a bit better. If you want off time stuff listen to The Subtle Arts of Murder and Persuasion. You're not going to get away from the vocals, as far as i know Ashes of the wake is the only instrumental track.

Hands down my new fav band with awesome guitarists.
I love the riffs they produce.:headbang: :headbang:

Yes it is easy to tell the guitarists have their shit together. Not only do they play complexed stuff, but have two guitarists, usually doing different things doing pretty complexed stuff.... and much more important than "complexed" (as that's not necessarily a good thing) but great sounding stuff.
I only know the one song, but I may try out these guys.
