anyone heard the new Parkway drive?

I think this album's mix is really good!
well, the kick might be a bit loud, but that helps a bit with the "standing in front of the stage"-feeling.
the lowend is extremely big but still tight.

not the typical sneap-style mix, but good nonetheless and I always think it's cool when a band decides to not sound like 1000000000 other bands out there...this mix transforts the aggression quite nicely, so it's doing what it's supposed to I think.

Exactly. I'm anything but a fan of this band but this mix is just super meaty and overall just interesting to my ears.

I'm only listening to myspace, but the treble on the Adam D mixes just kills my ears after few seconds.

Maybe I'm completely deaf, but IMHO this is rather tasty.

Huge low-end, not so harsh guitars and I like the drums better even with the ridiculously huge kick (positively).

I am so happy no that I´m not the only one with this opinion :)

same here!

seems like we germans dig the mix a lot more than other guys here ;-)

i cant say its the greatest production ive heard,
but yeah it has a "grown up" vibe going on, totally opposite to for example attack attack. although i dont listen to this kind of music.

baressi is such a great producer.. you guys have to check out 10,000 days by tool, best bass sound ever.

also for everyone who likes baressis drumsound, there is a superior addon
called evil drums. very cool, but different sounding sounds!
go check that out if you like the production !

I guess most people hate the sound because it's not a typical production for this kind of music. The low-end is huge and tight, it's kind of rough sounding in general.

the kick drum is definitely killing the mix way to much bottom end in my opinion. im a fan of there old stuff but the new album just blows. i do have respect for them watch there dvd (maybe not the live part, but the documentary) its got some really interesting stuff about how they just took there band to europe and played random bars for like a year.
