anyone remeber WWE Wrestler Bad News Brown?

I think there's a difference between Jen and me posting about members of our families and some retired wrestler that most everyone has forgotten. :Smug:

yeah, because that person didn't have any friends or family

put yourself above someone else's family. way to go. absolutely no disrespect intended towards you or anyone else here who had the misfortune of losing someone, but people across the world actually know who Bad News Brown was. it's interesting news. the only people that feel bad for you are the people that know you in person and talk to you online. again, no disrespect intended. i just found it odd that you'd automatically write off the feelings of "some retired wrestler that most everyone has forgotten"'s family and friends when there are people that actually are shocked because they used to watch the man on TV every week.

also, on a side note. i'd like to protect myself from the expected comments of "you'll be acting differently when someone you know is dead or close to it". my grandfather is in congestive heart failure and has sleep apnia (spelling), and because of his poor health, my grandmother can't renew her life policy on him. he's been close to dead for a number of years, and we're all on pins and needles because we don't know WHEN something is going to take yet another turn for the worse. the dude is AWESOME... but the truth is that he may very well die before the end of the year.

i'm bitter towards mankind, in general, for not having the proper tools to fix some things. we can clone worthless animals, but we can't fix people.

when he dies, hell yeah I will be sad. but, i know that hardly anyone outside of our family and friends will give a shit. he isn't important to the human race, and neither am i, and neither are you, and neither was your grandfather, and neither is my future kid if i ever have one, and so on.

I notice wench usually has a "sad"post in this from time to time, Im not trying to start anything I just happen to notice it.

I understand some people use this forum as more then just to talk about Nevermore.

I think the comparatively young deaths of wrestlers, especially since many are heart-related, may have something to do with the excess of steroids they pumped into their systems back in the day.

That's just an idea though.
