Anyone remember Nightfall Records?

Anyone remember this store? It was located on Lawrence ave on the northwest side of Chicago about a block and a half west of Pulaski. They mainly sold black/ death/ thrash. I believe they closed in 1999. That guy that worked there was kinda creepy. Any memories?

Yup, that was Don Dekker's store, he had one in Minneapolis as well, Don doesn't have a store anymore, he's a local show promoter and does some vending at metal shows in the twin cities area. He's had some health issues, but is a tough dude and is still around to metal on.

I used to go to Nightfall a lot. That was back when I was into the death/black metal scene big time. I went there more than metal haven because it was a lot closer to my house, and I hate driving into the city and trying to find parking.

I remember it...think I finally made it in once or twice before it

Yep, used to shop there before it went away but didn't shop there as often as at Metal Haven.

I have a pic I took of the old storefront on Lawrence. Perhaps I'll post it later this evening.
