Anyone seen Transformers yet?

I can't wait!!!! I'm going to see it this weekend. I was a HUGE Transformers nerd. Apparently a "G1" nerd (was unaware there were classifications). I had a shitload of action figures (metal ones. ones that would really hurt if thrown at a sibling).

Should there be a "Movie" thread ? I've seen some good movies this year and some that were total crap, be interesting what type of movies this forum would like and dislike and how different the opinions would be

So, which bad ass, heavy metal, hard a fuxs, metah mofo is gonna star the "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" thread. Anyone man enough? Huh?!?!

Well, Harry Potter movies can actually tell how much Tripp Eisen you are. You just have to see at which movie Emma Watson (Hermione) started to turn you on. It´s pretty much like watch to "Léon, The Professional" with Natalie Portman.

Actually, when The Professional came out, I was like only a year older than Natalie Portman, so I guess then I didn't count. But when I watch it now, I just wish I had more action....I mean..guns action.

I am super pumped to see Transformers. I still salivate when I walk past the toys at Wal Mart. I was absolutely obsessed with those damn things about 20 years ago.

I have the original movie on DVD, and I still rock out to that theme song too!

This is how they should have done it!

Damn right! I really want to know how to create those percussion sounds at the start of the actual original movie. They send shivers all down my back! Those slightly electronic sub bass drums with some sort of synth over the top :erk: I love em!

I saw it on the 4th. I'm kind of in the middle...didn't really like it, didn't absolutely hate it. Michael Bay's directing style is hte weakest part of the film. its all FLASH BANG...you can't really even tell what's going on during the fights between the robots. and that left me pretty dissapointed. But it did have its moments.

Saw it the other day. Pretty cool action most of the time and the Grand Coulee Dam scenes (government cover-up stuff) had a cool vibe, too. However, the little monkey-type robots sneaking around and mumbling were really, really stupid.

saw it a second time last night...awesome...

I think its better where its kind of hard to see whats totally going on...if you could easily see whats going on then it would kind of take away from how massive they were.

My friend also pointed out how a lot of it was from a bystander perspective a lot of time which was cool.

Finally saw it last night. I may be a total nerd, but this movie fucking owned.

I'll see it again.

After reading plenty of mixed reviews, I was almost expecting to be disappointed - but even being a big fan of the original series, I was totally satisfied by the characters and even Mr. Bay's notoriously bad directing didn't ruin the movie for me. I thought it was well done. A couple of really cliche characters and some cheesy moments - but that's the way I expect it to be done.

Good movie!

Got to see it a few days ago and have to say its wasn't really half bad. I agree at times when they fought, it was hard to tell what was going on. Though, I think Megatron stole some dialog from Darkness in Legend. All in all, I wasn't let down.

On the same note.

LOL, took me a few seconds to get that one

:OMG: I am lucky enough to see films like this at the embassy theatre in Wellington NZ, yeah, the one that Lord of the rings was made for...

and transformers was no exception..

Personally I can't wait for the simpsons movie - " spider pig, spider pig" Some low tech high script action there! Although I'm sure it was all done on a computer...
