So i recently acquired a Pro control unit (the main unit with the mix and edit sections) in great condition. Since i don't have pro tools HD however, i'm looking to part with it. Any takers? PM me any questions or to discuss asking price. I want to make sure this ends up in good hands so i came here before eBay.
Thanks guys,
-Richard

Edit: ok i get how that seems a little suspicious so let me clarify lol. This console was used in a major television studio that is now upgrading their gear and getting rid of tons of old stuff. My friend (ex-drummer) works for this station and asked if he could take it because he knew i had a studio and could probably use it. It was given to him but since i am not running HD (and he didn't know the difference since he works there as a computer tech for their offices, not in the studios) i'm trying to help him sell it. Again it was given not taken.

lol no not like that. A friend of mine works for a TV station and they were updating their systems and just tossing the old stuff so he knew i needed some gear so he asked if he could take it. But im running LE and definitely don't have the money to upgrade.

Lol you want pics of it calmly being handed over? I'm having him send over the pics now so i'll post em as soon as I got em.

@jhakwe: I know dude I got excited as hell cuz i woke up to a text message saying (i got you a digidesign console) and here i was thinking it was a digi002 or 3 control surface. But then i saw what it'd cost for all the HD toys and my soul died a little inside haha.

I just don't see how they'd just be like "here you go" regardless unless it was trashed or something. They must really not know what they have....

Dude, big companies do it all the time. A friend of mine just got an iMac for free (and not one of the old Darth Vader helmet models :D) 'cause they were upgrading. My dad constantly hunts down on great deals of lots of (usually about ten) almost brand new PC's from schools and other facilities that "need" newer hardware. They don't care, once they decide to replace an item, it becomes toxic waste to them.

Thats the pic he took of it in his trunk. He's still at work so he said he'd get me some more pics later tonight.

My parents' church apparently ditched their whole PA system a few months ago, among which was a pair of mint Crown Power amps! (one was a D75, don't know about the other). Goddamn do I wish I was home when that happened! :waah:

Yea i used one for a bit when i interned for a latin producer. It was pretty huge but it did the job well. A hell of a lot better than using a mouse on virtual faders haha.
