A friend is selling it at a fairly affordable price.
I think it'd be nice for my home studio.
So i wanted to ask you guys, if you've had any successful experiences
with it; or not!

Thanks a lot for your feedback!! :kickass:

I've had one for quite a few years now. totally love it. I only use it as a converter and master clock. but the preamps are good too. the pre's are too clean for my taste. but the conversion is awesome and the softlimit is great! what are you using now?

Until now, i've been going directly into my 003; I know them stock 003 pres suck.
But i was just saving money. I was thinking of this Mini Me, OR a ISA One Digital.

Scott, can these Apogees 'push' your signal in some way similar to a tube preamp?

I mean, i recorded my bands first album recently [over at a pro studio] with 2 Avalon vacuum tubes Pres
and they're quite Warm sounding, i was wondering if i could find that sweet spot
with one of these :O

Apogee pre's are clean and pristine, they won't color the sound like a tube preamp will

yeah the apogee pre's are super clean. won't give you that saturated sound like a good transformer based preamp will. I have the isa preamp too,it sounds great also but it is still pretty clean. If I had to choose between those two just based on the preamps I would take the isa............... but if you could get the apogee cheap and add something like the gap pre73 or another neve/api clone down the road I would go that route.
