i bought it 2 days ago and have only messed with it once

but once was enough to realize, it owns

thanks for the inside info!

Yes, I must agree. I read your posts about aptrigga and was convinced to buy it and it works amazingly!

However, is there really no way to get it to remember where your samples are?

Umm... If I remember correctly, the evaluation version of aptrigga doesn´t save the sample paths. Anyway the licenced version does.

Or read the manual?

I have the manual stored somewhere myself, i would be glad to read it, i just cant find it at the moment!

I read the manual. Nothing helped. I'm saving it as a preset and I'm saving the session with the sample loaded. Also I'm pretty sure the license worked because my email address shows up at the bottom every time.

As you can imagine I don't like having to load the samples every time and having to reset the thresholds and stuff. I thought it was just a major downside to having Aptrigga.

Is there any way to stop aptrigga letting the track bleed through (like the Stealth control on Drumagog) or does the track need to be gated beforehand?

It's kinda all or nothing. There's a level control for the dry sound and the replaced sound, but you can't just replace the snare 100% and let the bleed through like with Drumagog.

sO let me get this right......

Drumagog Pros:
-Sealth Mode
-Sample Browser
-More Multisamples capable

ApTRrigga Pros:
-Better Trigger Engine?
-Cheaper License
-Simpler Interface
-Less CPU intensive

hmmmm......am I getting all this right?

If this is true, than all of Drumagog Pros really don't matter much too me....but I'm really liking all of ApTrigga's Pros!! I difinately should look into this.

Yeah, you pretty much got it. You can zoom in and see inconsistencies with drumagog. Some of the hits will be out of place or phase, so you'll start to blend, and some hits suck and some are rocking. With AP, they're all DEAD ON, but you can't load as many samples. A quick little work around to this that I think is quite nice is just cut out any hits that aren't spot on slammin hard hits, and move them to a different track. That way, you can have a good variety on the heavy hits, and the same on the lighter hits. Doing something like funk, drumagog can be pretty nice to have more sample layers.

One con you forgot on AP is no midi input. I hope they add this eventually. It would be a nice feature to have handy.

Just making sure, but does anyone have any idea why aptrigga isn't saving the filepaths for my samples?

It's not possible it wouldn't work with some programs is it? Seeing as it is a VST file separate from the DAW.

Have you tried reinstalling? That is a pretty strange thing. I'm assuming your copy is "legit"...

Yeah, it's legit, and I don't know of any method of installing a VST plugin, but I tried removing the .dll from the VST folder and putting one from the original .zip file back in. Nothing. Still doesn't remember my filepaths.

Edit: Okay that's wierd. It works in Cubase LE. Ill be honest and tell you I'm using an expired demo version of Acoustica Mixcraft to do this. I don't see why that is affecting the plugin, but it seems like it is. So that leads me to ask this. Does Cubase LE really limit me to only 2 effects plugins per track? If so, looks like it's time for me to upgrade.
