Alright, so can anyone aside from Dreamlord elaborate on what we're dealing with here? I'm sure even he must be interested to hear your opinions on one of his favourite bands as well, so npearce, BWD, and Erik (anyone else who's got it) - whaddayasay? Thumbs up Jenna Jameson's arse? Or thumbs down Ron Jeremy's urethra?

ooooh, I'm nervous. WHere's Doom? I know he absolutely loves it. And I know a few people in the General Discussion forum love it as well, such as Life Sucks and Bloodstained Walls. Ultimate Symphony heard some mp3's and, last time I talked to him, he was looking for it because he was very impressed.

BWD said he was impressed when I asked him a while back.

And on the www.metalireland.com board, it is constantly lauded as one of Ireland's finest releases.

JayKeeley: You might as well get in line on EBAY for this. It has your name written all over it. There are elements of doom (early Katatonia and Anathema), death (mostly melodic), black (sort of Emperor 'Anthems'), and even prog metal (I'm actually sensing Fates Warning influences) on it. It's a little hard to compare them to one band, since they have a broad range of styles. Some of the stuff is a little like your beloved Empyrium.

I actually got mine on EBAY for only $8.50 including shipping. It's just a matter of waiting for somebody to sell it. I pretty much guarantee you will like it, JayKeeley.

Excellent. Glad you like it. Like you said in the Latest Purchases thread, the band really paid attention to every instrument, and the lyrics are very moving.

Yeah, my favorite song is the 6 minute piano piece. Simply marvelous.

Oh fuck - ok, everyone do me a favor: if you see it on eBay or anywhere else, just let me know.

$8.50 - seems like you got a decent price, npearce. Hope I get that kind of luck.

I haven't listened to it nearly enough yet because I've been drowning in new purchases recently. I plan to get into it more and then I might have more useful things to say.

Yep, that's true. Kick ass record, thumbs up. I still haven't picked it up since i've been waiting to place my orders for next week; an 100$ plus haul, hehe. What impresses me most of the album is Feargal's musicianship. The guy practically made the album the marvel that it is. I've been thinking of writing a review so more people can check it out, but i'm waiting to have the actual album for a better experience.

So true \m/

Yeah, I can pretty much guarantee that you'll like it too. It's one of my top 5 albums ever. It's one of those albums I can't imagine anyone not liking. It's hard to pin it down to one genre, since it's got a bit of all of them in there. Erik should listen to it more too. I'm gonna listen to it now actually.

I got it from Relapse. I got an Arcane Sun t-shirt too from Sentinel for £5 which is pretty cool. And their second unreleased album is excellent as well (thanks Dreamlord), but not quite as good as the debut, but not much is.
