Well, when I got to the reverb I was early, so I went into the Kathedral next door( its actually the same building) and some girl was spinning a bunch of metal.Mostly death, I recognized MA, IE, Slayer, testament and maybe CC.nice.Doors opened and I went up the stairs and entered the room with the stage.


first up Wetwork

They are a local band I think, I saw them before and they kept the same set.Overall a pretty good band.They covered a DEATH song which was well executed(scavenger).Great guitarist and the girl singer sounds a bit like Chuck.

Sworn Enemy

Bad dummer and bad vox.Great guitar riffs and the guitarist himself seemed pretty talented(the big skinhead).Couldnt hear the other guitar well and cannot remember the bass.BUT, there were these CRAZY motherfuckers doing karate dancing like goddamn maniacs.It looked like the were SKIING FOR GODSAKES.One asshole lost control and stuck his hand right in my stomach, what a cocksucker.AND, these karate shit heads opened a mosh which got extremely annoying, if I had steel toes boots, I woudve kicked them fucknuts in the face.Anyway, the band as a whole werent that great(I cant stand rapped vocals).
and the people around me really ruined the experience

God Forbid

Ruled, yup, they ruled.Although the vocals were hard to hear, wait, they werent heard.Awesome duel guitar action, I am totally checking out more of them.A great thing was that these two people left their spot in the DEAD center, I took it and got a great view of the rest of the concert It was also pretty funny when the singer said "how about sworn enemy", and this guy in front like beside me says "they suck", the singer says "yes, they do suck, maybe we can teach them a lesson"

ARCH ENEMY
The first thing I thought was, HOLY SHIT, THAT BASSIST IS A MONSTER.Then I just headbanged for the whole set.One dude who looked like phil anselmo from the early nineties stuck is arm out in front and it began to get ANNOYING.Arch Enemy are great, especially the drummer, goddamn.Angela wasnt heard that well, but it doesnt matter, she was screaming right in front of me.The crowd surfing was a bitch, I got kicked in the head like 20 times, one girl got sent head first into mikes guitar and broke it with her head It was certainly a fantastic show.

yah i'm glad i missed those fucks, i knew some hardcore band from New York would only create misery. thouhg i am very upset that i missed that death cover of Scavenger of Human Sorrow. i would give anything to see death live(impossible) or some good death covers, or some death cover/tribute band, or the guys in death with som ereplacement singer as some big chuck tribute world tour. i would cream in my pants if i ever heard any death song live. but a chick singer doing scavenger..............i'm sure you understand my questioning the goodness of the vox. but it is death so............

yepp i went it was lots of fun.. got to meet a number of people from UM boards.. got to hang out with Slipknot_isn't_metal for a while, and then Kittarin and Mr. Mojojo for almost the entire show. plus i was at the back taking pics of this concert and i'll post them for you guys if you want, they're okay but a little dark and that , i dunno
yah the sworn enemy stuff was terrible, i took one pic and i wish it didn't turn out. they looked like rappers

going to blind guardian depends on whether or not my bro can drive me.......or actually chooses to drive me. i ask him when he wants to get tix and he says"not now. i don't want to get them because i want a way out of the show. if i get them now then a have no choice and i have to go. what if i just don't feel like going to see them? this way, i'm not tied down to the show". what a fucking moron! GOD DAMN IT!!

Yeah, Toronto was a pretty hectic day, a lot of interviews and other stuff we had to deal with...and it was Angelas birthday etc. Also we had friends from the BW&BK crew come out too - that was cool - Those guys have been so great and supportive...love them! Check them out at www.bravewords.com if you haven't already! ANYWAY, the actul show itself was just crazy...it was like the Toronto metalheads had decided to kill the myth of Montreol being the more crazy crowd...there was some insane things going on...this one girl kept crowd surfing and stage diving all night...in the end she smashed right into my black V guitar, smashed the mirror pickguard and ripped out the whole jack/input - there was literally just a hole in the guitar...I had to laugh, it was funny! I was in the middle of a solo aswell (I was so in to it I didn't realize what had happened at first), ha-ha...crazy shit! Btw, the guitar is fixed now, thanks to my awesome guitar tech, Brett. It looks kinda punk rock now...cracked mirror! Next show was Detroit...and that was just not that cool of a show somwhow..I for one wasn't feeling it...that happens sometimes - we try to give our best at each and every show...we pride ourselves on that...hopefully we'll play a better show next time in Detroit! Today is a day off, we are just outside of Chicago... Tomorrow we'll be back in Aurora, Illinois...can't wait! Last time we played there with NILE in the summer we had a great time!
