Listening-wise I'm still full-out metalhead, but as far as playing I really don't get too heavy anymore. I'm much more into John McLaughlin and shit like that when I play. I guess I'm glad I have the metal background and listening habits because when I jam on some jazz or funk I do it with fucking volume. Still, I've been known to bust out one of the old ones every now and again.
