Pain of Salvation lifting their embargo on USA
Therefore, let it be known that on the 20th of January 2009, after almost five years, Pain of Salvation are officially lifting their political embargo on USA.
Dammit, here I went hoping that they would never play the states again so there would not even be a remote chance that I would have to sit through one of their sets... heh

This sucks for me on two levels. First, I will most certainly be forced to endure another PoS ProgPower announcement. Second, I must now admit, something good came out of the Bush administration.
Oh... and by the way... ghayest statement evar...
Zod
*NOTE: Daniel is simply not Metal enough to deserve an umlaut in his last name. I will be circulating a petition to request that it be removed immediately and be replaced by some sort of Barbie doll emoticon (design pending).
Is there any prog/power band that is more polarizing than POS?

You've got to be kidding me? Is this a joke? If not, I'd like to tell Daniel personally what him and his band can do with their embargo on the USA. We've done just fine without them for the last five years and I'm sure we'd be fine another five years without them.
Good for those who posted above me that don't buy into this shit either...geeze!

Beat you on both items.

Gee, we should all feel honored they have lifted their personal embargo on the US and their fans here. Ugh. While I respect them for their talent musically, I find them hopelessly mired in their own ideology. Can't help it, this statement just comes across and pompous and self-glorifying to me.
Oh lord, give me a break. While I have been accused of being a bit cynical at times, I'm not putting my fate in the warm, intelligent eyes of anyone until I see what they can actually do. And that includes politicians.
Few quick thoughts on this:
Stick to the music, and leave the politics aside.
I could write a lot more because Daniel's superior attitude greatly angers me. But I represent ProgPower USA and I try conduct myself with professionalism so as not to reflect badly on this grand metal fest.
