I have seen them twice and loved every second of their performances. I am not huge into politics so it really didn't bother me of Daniel's views, just that he had his convictions and stuck to them, and I respect that. I do happen to hugely agree with him of his views on cribcaged and love those lyrics. I don't think he was being pompous in the least bit, but just speaking his mind and opinion just like we all do, so why is he considered a pompous asshole when all he is doing is expressing his views, thoughts, and ideas in the same way that we do.

Why is Jesus angry at his guitar???

Brilliant news!!!

I totally support their embargo. Wonderful that someone has the balls to speak up for and act on their beliefs.

Can't wait for more news on this.

No matter what, I'm never going to be at a set of theirs, unless it's too cold to be outside avoiding them. They irritated me too much last time I was subjected to a set of theirs, without mass quantities of alcohol.

This embargo business is funny to me because they act like outside of ProgPower, they'll be offered a tour of the U.S. I see that drawing about 20 people a night.

They were supposedly offered a slot on Gigantour the first time that came around, and theres no doubt in my mind Mike Portnoy would love to have them next time Prog Nation rolls around.

Two TOURS that consistently draw more than ProgPower.

Wow, this makes me not want to go to any potential Chicago show even though I love their music. What a pompous, self-important ass.

Seriously, is it just me or does it come off like he's saying "Well, America, now that you've been good little boys and girls and elected a president that makes my liberal penis rock hard, I'll do you the honor of playing in your country." Well gee, thanks a bunch. Our goal was to make you happy all along. I hope you can see the joyous expressions on our collective faces from the top of your high horse.

And I really hope nobody starts up with that "fuck you, PoS doesn't owe any debts to you bastards because they have every right to not tour your country for whatever reason they feel like" bullshit. Yeah, I know they don't owe me shit and they have the right to not come here, but simply having the right/ability to do something doesn't get you off the hook for being a holier-than-thou asshat for doing it.

Anyway, after doing some thinking I decided I'm going to help PoS out. See, I didn't vote for Obama. Because I know that they'd love to ban those who didn't vote for Obama from their shows but realistically can't, I'll take the liberty of banning myself from their shows. It's the way they'd want it.

*Special note: This isn't coming from one of the PoS haters. I love their music. I just find this shit stupid.

You know, the more militant people are, the more hypocritical they become.

I am sure he still GLADLY accepted any royalty $$$ earned for CDs the band sold in the States.

Think what you want. This is not a band that would draw squat if they did their own tour of the US, so it's easy for them to place the embargo.
