You´re right, Opeth´s board seems to be more broad-minded at the moment, but I suppose on this board "non-kata" posts aren´t prohibited as well - as long as they remain interesting for some users.

Yeah, guestbook of Anathema is rather shitty: no talk, just opinions. What about My Dying Bride, I think they are afraid of bad opinions, though they say they don't care. They are touchy, I seriously think so, though I'm their fan.

MDB don´t create their music just for themselves, otherwise they wouldn´t want to publish it. (Even) if you´re calling yourself an "artist", criticism should never become a sacrilege.

But they say they do! "We are playing for ourselves, we don't give a shit about fans' opinion"- these are their thoughts about it. But when "34,788...complete " was released, they said "Someone told us that tracks on "Like Gods of the Sun" sound like one big metal track, so we made very different songs". Last phrase shows, that they CARE about what we say. Their words are opposite to themselves. And if really, my opinion about AARON as a poet is high, and as a philosopher is very low. His interviews doesn't seem to have any REAL idea about anything, and , for example, interviews with SATYRICON or EMPEROR do.(though I hate music of satyricon and emperor). I think these blackers are cleverer and experienced in life than AARON.

Without a doubt you´re right again, but at the same time I think Aaron´s aim is not to spread his philosophy of life, his "concept" is a romantic matter. In my opinion dark romanticism is what MDB is all about, and I don´t want to read any interviews in which Aaron tries to tattoo his world view onto my brain.
As for Satyr, Frost and co., they have a completely different approach to music and therefore other, perhaps more solid ("experienced") things to say.

I'm actually quite annoyed at the My Dying Bride site. It's a great site when it gets going, but it remains dorment for way too long.
Like the new keyboard player, one Yasmin Ahmed! There is nothing about her on the site and the band member profiles don't have any information about her. She's supposed to have been in the band for at least 6 or 7 months now....
They're a fantastic band, in fact my equal favourite with Katatonia, but Katatonia is covered on the net with much more detail and effort.

Absolutely. And that´s why bands like MDB or Anathema should never complain about few sells, nowadays a band´s appearance on the net has become quite important.
But Katatonia (and mr. webmaster) do what they can to present their music as dignified as possible and I hope more people will find a way to Kata by browsing through their site.

Gee, I just did what you suggested and my mail was returned to sender (by Elvis?). However, I used the addy from Anathema´s contact page right below the fanclub´s address ´cause there is stated that this is the only "valid" way to contact the band. So what the...?
