arrival limited box

Aaaah I need this box. Even more so because I've been at Summer Breeze 02 and saw the show live.

EDIT: Just pre-ordered my copy from Nuclear Blast. Only 999 copies left for you guys...:devil:

They usually send them in several "waves", but not before release date. With the Dissection box, a friend of mine got his a a couple of days earlier than I did since they did not send them out all at once.
 
FYI: This box set has to be purchased through the German NB website. I tried to get it through my NB contact here in the US and she said it's only being released in Germany. Gonna cost $50+ to get it, but like you all-I must have it!!!!!
 
I had to order it!

I faxed over a copy of my credit card as well as did the on-line order form last week but haven't had an e-mail confirmation that it's all ok...does it normally take some time (I thought it might be automatic)?

Well I'll see what happens in the 30 days after release date I guess.

Haha I don't even have a dvd player yet!

Did you at least get something saying that they received the order? It took almost two weeks for someone to respond to me, but I did get an initial confirmation right away. Hope you get it! (And a DVD player so you can actually watch it. lol)

My boyfriend ordered the box for me among other stuff and it was from the website...or... well I certainly hope and believe so. Anyway no one has said I couldn´t have it. And the order has been confirmed long time ago.
If they fuck up the order, I´m off to Donzdorf.
 
Why is Nuclear Blast shipping so ridiculous? That's why I didn't get the Dissetion boxset, and why I didn't even bother with this Hypocrisy one. I'll gladly pay $20 for a special edition, but not $20 or more on top of that to have it shipped to the US. I send crap overseas all the time and it's not all that much more expensive than domestic postage.

Is it just the German post office hates to ship to accursed foreigners like myself or something? If I can prove I am of German descent will they give me a discount? ;)

I guess the reason is that shipping larger packets from Germany abroad is really expensive, and since NB are also offering shirts and other larger stuff that doesn't fit into small envelopes, they calculated one general shipping rate for all orders from overseas. In theory, they could send you one or two CDs at a much lower rate (for example, yesterday I sent a CD package to Finland for 4 Euros), but it would become more complicated for them to have different shipping rates for different combinations of products, I guess... bottom line is: probably they're just lazy. ;)

And as for "willing to pay 20$ for a special edition"... well, there is a ridiculous special edition of the new In Flames record in the making that costs 50 Euros (> 70$) that offers pretty much nothing:

And I thought they had learned something from the latest Dimmu special edition that is still available from NB months after the release since it was also way too expensive for what it was.
 
Heh, I paid nearly $50 for a special edition CD once because it appeared that they were sold out within a week of release, only to find several copies for $25 brand new at my local record store 6 months later. Oh well, live and learn. :)
