ATARAXIE, of course, is one of the very finest death doom bands active today. they released this new album called anhédonie a while back (on weird truth)

yeah, Ataraxie is pretty cool. Asunder is way better though.

Saw those guys live a couple months ago. Rather dry and boring on the whole (the venue was shit and searing hot not to help matters) but I left with the impression that their style might work on record, so I'll check this out. Plus their Bethlehem cover (off Dictius Te Necare - can't remember which track) hooked me up like fresh meat. I believe the guitar player/singer is now in Bethlehem as well.
