I'm enjoying the new one from sludge band Whitehorse. I don't know them well at all, but I guess they've gone in a more upfront death/doom direction here, as opposed to their previous stuff being more atmospheric or drony.

I like Iron Man. Always had questionable vocalists, but Ozzy was never top tier either. But the riffs man. Good band.

Footage of a doom band here who played a gig last Friday. Was an awesome set with appropriate fog machine usage:

I dig the vocal performance on that album quite a bit. Dan Michalak sounds like he's going for a combination of a classic rock vocalist like Jack Bruce with Bobby Liebling (and a touch of Ozzy) and it works out pretty decently.

Iron Man rule. Never got into their stuff with Dee Calhoun because he does nothing for me as a singer, but Rob Levey and especially Dan Michalak kicked arse.
