I agree on the cymbals being too old. Cymbals should, on most modern metal productions, stay quite quiet in the back of the mix.

Guitars need more highs (slightly muddy) and I would add, maybe a little less dry. Maybe 1% of reverb somewhere on the mix ?

For the style you are aiming, they could be more tight, more edited.

I would agree with the previous poster that the guitars could use some editing to tighten it up.
