a few of the articles at first glance buy into the whole "colonialism" and "imperialism" argument about the US/Western world, which i think is incredibly naive and wrong. but they seem interesting, so i'll read more--intelligent "wrong" stuff is more interesting and informative than dumb "right" (or, well, "less wrong") stuff!
