"Spreading the Disease" was like the second cassette I ever bought, right after "Bark at the Moon". I sometimes worry that it's just nostalgia that makes it my favorite Anthrax album, but I think it really is their best overall.

i am kind of undecided but i believe that my pick for their best album is persistence of time because while it is not the best album voally, it DOES have their strongest songwriting imo.

also i think state of euphoria is my favorite anthrax album for guitar solos as danny spitz was ON on that album.

I really like POT, but the songs are just too long. If they were all shaved like a minute or two, it'd be killer.
SOE is pretty sweet though. I love it even though it seems to be regarded as their worst album by quite a few people.

I started learning Got the Time on bass yesterday.... POT is definitly my favorite Anthrax album.

SOE is pretty good. i thought it had about as much filler as among the living so i never thought it was worse.

Anthrax was my absolute favorite band in 7th grade, hands down. No one came close.

even though i think Among the Living is lacking in melody, the rhythm section (and recording quality) is probably about as good as it gets outside of AC/DC.
