that's south station, downtown. the train station you'd come into is probably actually back bay station, i think, which is...nearish, but not the same.

i would always go with the bus!

well, trains do go into south station, but i thought it was mostly commuter trains. there's no reason Amtrak couldn't run a train into South Station, though--I've just always done Back Bay for trains.

south station is the main station for amtrak, they don't always stop in back bay. south station also features teh RED LINE subway line and all bus lines.
