Honestly, a guy I go to university with spent like eight months barely going out because he was playing SOCOM online all day, all the time. He would come to class once every three weeks and we'd just ask:"what have you been up to?" only for him to reply "SOCOM". He stopped when then people he was playing with online decided to do a real life get together and he saw them. They were all basically on social security and playing games were their life, he saw what could happened and stopped cold turkey...

I know a guy like that with Call of Duty. He plays call of duty all night when he's not buying and restoring old Mauser rifles.
