I had three cars in front of me. The road presents a legal passing situation. I engage to pass the cars. Once I am halfway through the car in front of me, he proceeds to change lanes as he wants to pass too. I slam on the breaks enough for him to only hit me on the front wheel, which proceeds to lock and sends me out of control. I almost keep it on the road when my back tire catches the dirt side of the road and I lose complete control. The bike plunges in the ditch. I lost pretty much the rest of it as I regain my senses in the ditch in two feet of water and mud.

Injuries:

-Lower left leg has a pretty serious abrasion on a surface of about 6" x 4"
-Both thumbs and right index finger are sprained
-Various bruises all over: hip, neck, toes etc..

I was pretty lucky in retrospect. And I feel a lot better today.
