Why is it that when my cel phone is about to ring, or i start to dial, or has any kind fo activity, my computer's speakers (and other people's computer's speakers who I've tested) produce a weird shuffling oscillation sound? It doesn't happen with non-computer speakers, i think.

maybe because the speaker wires are acting as antennas? they do that sometimes, but I dunno what frequency cell stuff goes at and if they'd pick it up or whatever.

Mine does that too. Goddamn I hate having a cell phone and being stuck with a $45 a month bill for another year. Nobody calls me anyway.

Back in junior high school, all the "cool" kids came up with a plan for "Nerd Day". They were all to dress up as "nerds", with high pants, pocket protectors, taped glasses, plaid sports jackets, ect... I went to school that day dressed like those idiots usually dressed.

Yeah. Bass, guitar, computer monitors are really bad for those. Especially if you've got active pickups. My bass is noisy as hell and if I have my monitor on and I'm anywhere in the room it's damn near unusable.

i have this contraption for my car stereo that takes a signal from the cd player and broadcasts it to a radio band signal so you can hear the cd player on a radio station. whenever my cell phone is near it, every time it changes cells it makes a clicking like a rabid squirrel. also, whenever it rings, the radio broadcast thing buzzes annoyingly.

EMI or Electro Magnetic Interference. Cell phones, especially digital cause this. That would screw with speakers I would think. And probably you computator speakers before home stereo cuz the magnet on those are smaller and more suseptable to this type of interference.
