Saw an ad on TV the other night for a 2 CD set called "The Essential Miles Davis." You've probably got all his stuff several times over on other collections, but I thought you might be interested .

Thanks Wrath. I'm actually pretty new to the whole Jazz scene, so my collection has some ... shall we say ... holes (if you call all that stuff in the universe thats between all the stars holes). I've got a fair bit on MP3, but it's like 4 or 5 songs from a number of artists, and most of it's pretty crappy qualilty. So I don't exactly have Mile's entire back catalog. I shall look into it.

It's obviously a very important release. I mean, it's got "essential" built right into the title.
