Audiophile Crap

Erik's right as usual :loco:

When you turn it on from cold the power light turns on green n then a second later slowly fades to orange... after the previously mentioned timespan it clicks audibly and turns green. Before the click and green, it sends nothing to the speakers....

If it's warmed up (ie has turned green) and you turn it off, there is some time period where you can turn it back on and it doesn't go through the orange phase. So, it feels like there is some "warmup" going on. Or charging up a capacitor or somethingt....

Let me know if you're interested ....

probably an easy fix if you know a good electronics guy, but if i were you i would buy something that works instead

if you buy used amps, be sure to hear it in action before buying and twiddle all knobs/buttons back and forth a lot to make sure there's no crackling going on

i've had so many amps with scratchy pots/buttons, it can get real tiresome

Lurch has been spending too much time around the 1%, form over function for that chap.

maybe because no one would want those hideous things in their living room no matter how good they may sound
