GO CANADA, EH

yeah, Made in Canada too ... can't believe most under $1000 speakers are made in China today.

Actually owned Paradigms before some 15 years ago ... pair of pretty large 3SeMkII Monitors ...

and thanks Ken ...

now I will ditch that Rotel CD and swap it for a new Panasonic blu-ray ... possible mistake ... but this thing can do everything I need.

i dunno, maybe they dont, who am i to judge. drugs/hookers/private islands would be higher on my list....but then Dopethrone probably sounds just as good through my aiwa stereo from 1996 as some hifi speakers that cost more than my car.

that dude just reviews them, he doesn't own them. besides to a gazillionaire 28k is like 20 bucks.

those Watt/Puppys are still ugly as sin though.

yeh i know, and rich people are free to spend as they see fit, im just wondering how they are better than say the best 3k speakers out there. i also wonder if those cables that cost in the thousands are any different than some hundred dollar cables? is this just a way to fleece people with too much money? if so, how do i get into this business?

It might be a better idea to get the blu-ray player first, see if you can tell any discernable difference, and if not.. ditch the Rotel. Chances are you won't though.

finally hooked up the rig ... somewhat temp position but it is on.

holy audio nirvana ... Queensryche "Della Brown" is amazing. never thought a preamp with no tonal adjustments and totally flat can reproduce so clean and not making me miss those treble and bass knobs.

I actually just tried the Rotel CD and then switched it out to my 4 year old cheapo Pioneer DVD player ... MAYBE some very slight difference (if anything it seems the Pioneer has more low end) but the stars here are the amp/preamp and these freaking Atoms ...
the source doesn't seem to be a difference at least to these ears.
going to ditch the CD and get a new Panasonic BluRay for the bucks.
