Audiophile Crap

The center Speedo dates back to the original mini. It was placed there so the navigator in rallyes could keep an eye on it.
Of course now wives do.

Supposedly, these are an absolute tremendous value for the $; a true deal of the century type of thing. Just ordered a pair cuz I needed a new cheap pair of IEM's for the gym.

I <3 Monoprice for their HDMI cables and other theater cabling stuff but wasnt expecting this.

got my first order of some new cables from Monoprice ... holy crap ... serious quality stuff for dirt cheap. I was expecting some cheap thin cables.

ordered a 3' mini jack to mini jack cable for the car mp3 ... thought it was goign to be some nice thin cable like my old one ... this thing is as thick as a waterhose ... good stuff I am sure but wtf to do with it in the car. i can beat people with it ... and it was less than 2 schillings.

haha regarding those earbuds:

i'm sure they sound good but HOLY HELL those are ugly as shit

Audiophiles can't tell the difference between Monster Cable and coat hangers

That's bizarre.

I know this is one of those RC threads that has gone on since the dawn of time. However, does anyone actually care about fidelity? I mean, most people listen to MP3s. I rip my MP3s at 320Kbps, as opposed to 192Kbps, but I'm not really sure I can tell the difference. I can't see ever investing in expensive audio equipment again.

Greg's post made me think of something....how many of you still listen to CDs exclusively in the car? As in, you're heading out the door, stop by the CD rack and pick out what you're in the mood for during your shitty commute?
How many of you still listen to CDs in the house?
