So this is the thread where we talk about $2,000 amps? Cool, which one should I get:

My main requirement for my amp is that they have to sound like BWWWWARRRRRWOOOOWOWOWWAAAZZOEOEZOE and not bitch when I store my beers on top of them. The Mesa 400 does that just fine but my Trace Elliot up and pooped out on me. Probably should just get that fixed, but I'm lazy. :(

If I was a man I'd buy one of these but I think they weigh like 120 pounds:

That big transformer is the size of my head, no joke. And my noggin ain't small. MEAT SMOKE.

I know a dude who has a £50000 amp (that's like uhhh... $70000 or something) for his hifi. Then I think the speakers were £1700 or something and the CD player doesn't output an analogue signal so there's some special other thing in-between that and the amp or something. He lent me some interconnects that cost about £200 to show me the "amazing difference". There is a difference, but fuck, if a cat farted in the house next door at the same time it might make a bigger one.

I need to get a better phono stage anyway. £150 max budget but I can't be bothered to get it now, I've spent too much recently and not made much.

The big spender dude's system does sound sweet though, if ever so slightly harsh/ bright.

Now to buy my new speakers. Im conflicted though. I can buy em used for cheap but plain jane. I can buy them new, personalized with my own veneer choice or auto finish but I will lose lots of money if I ever decided to get rid of them....but that is what I am trying to avoid. I want this shit and stick with it. It seems like it will be the shit, but who knows until its all set up in my home. I can buy the used plain jane, if I LOVE it, go with the personalized and upgraded caps from the designer with the money I have extra even with the used speakers in my home. Selling/shipping is a pain in the ass though. Maybe I can live with plain jane.

Now onto the amp....

Oh, and on a different note, I ran across these today: http://www.zvoxaudio.com/ Looks cool.
