Went to Audio Eden and they actually mentioned the RP3 is just around the corner, so I'll wait and see. Maybe I can score a P3-24 for cheaper due to it.

Marantz is good too. More reliable than NAD.

back when i was looking for a solid "low-end high-end" amp nad and marantz were two of the brands i was looking at but also cambridge audio looked pretty convincing

yea, those are probably the 3 most prominent "mid-fi" companies. Cambridge Audio excels in the digital products. If I was going for an integrated amp, I'd choose between NAD or Marantz....or some other brand after a bunch of research. I've read a lot of issues with NAD prducts. Can't lose with Marantz.
