Australian Tour 2008

^Fair enough...cough Opeth cough. Hey post its post 666, IM KVLT METUUL REBALZ. I want to go to the Melbourne Meshuggah gig, but if I do I'll have to go on my own as none of my mates are into them. I don't really go to a gig unless I'm with at least one other person who is into them. Most of my friends share my musical tastes, but Meshuggah unfortunately isn't one of them.

wasn't aware you were a meshuggah fan trent. Did you like the new album? monstrous drumming...

^I wasn't aware you were haha. You'd think with all the music we discuss Meshuggah would come up, but I don't think I've spoken to you about them. Been a fan for a fair while now, actually now I think about it, it would be before I met you, so thats like at least 4-5 years ago. Obzen is fantastic, grew on me a lot. Not their best but very good non the less. Well, lets go to the concert then.

haha maybe. i know a few mates that are going. consider it a warm up for opeth! when are the dates for meshuggah? not sure exactly, and btw how mad is the album art? fantastic.

Yeh I'm on my own anway, but meshuggah = massive win.

I'd never miss them :)

What are you guys interested in hearing? I know it will probably reflect their latest setlists so I'll keep that in mind.
At the Sydney gig I am hoping for..

Serenity Painted Death
Wreath (I've become drawn to it of late)
Heir Apparent
When or April Ethereal
Advent
The Leper Affinity
Blackwater Park
As much off Still Life as possible and an Orchid song would be killer

Songs I don't want to hear..
The Drapery Falls
The Grand Conjuration
Masters Apprentices

I like to dream eh

hmm interesting set list. i'd personally love Ghost of perdition. I know they probably played it to death on the last tour, but i didn't get to see them, and its the song that got me into them.

i'd like to hear drapery as well, and maybe one or two more new songs. also DEMON

I wish I had the funds to be able to fly to the different aussie gigs. that would be brutal.

Opeth need to do an instore in Sydney. That would make my year!

LOL that would be hilarious!

*cough cough" excuse me JB Hi-Fi fans, I'm sorry to interrupt your shopping today, but we have a swedish death metal band in the store who want to play you a tune or two......

deliverance followed by demon would be appropriate i believe...

Yeah more Orchid please, Under the weeping moon dominated. Plus its time to crack When on the Melbourne audience. I've heard april, demon heaps and credence, When, Amen or Karma please. Haven't heard enough mayh. In terms of Still Life, Face of Melinda and White Cluster are the only tracks bar benighted left for me to hear and they will rape to all kinds or proportions live.

FUCK FUCK FUCK! I NEED A TICKET, will be able to afford some in say 3 weeks.. all gone by then though I pressume... FUCK FUCK FUCK

Why did I buy the Watershed CD+LP+EP+Signed booklet, I should of waited.. FUCK FUCK FUCK

Also does anyone live near any of the places where tickets are still avaliable? :D Plane tickets cost enough let alone accomodation! meh i'll sleep on a bench or just not sleep if I go.

I've finnally finalised all my tickets for Sydney...I havent slept in days from anticipation (thus the 1am post)... Watching this forum like a little midnight creepy for a few days :)

It will be my first real concert, aptly chosen, no?

I'm getting an afternoon flight on the Saturday and a 6am flight on the Sunday morning, so no sleep for me. Buy the tickets online and get them mailed to you, postage isn't too bad, I forget home much it cost for the Sydney tickets to be posted, but it wasn't much.

Very nice choice for a 'real' concert I must say. Nothing will every be as good... ever. Unless it's Opeth again :p
