avatar question

So like.. I'm trying to change my avatar,
which I used to do pretty easily until today,
but with the new ACDSEE I can't seem to resize files to the size I want anymore...
my avatar pic seems to be too big, and when I resize it or compress it
it looks like shit...
anyone can help me create an avatar that will fit the UM standarts using a pic I'll send you, but that will make the pic look normal?

i have the GIMP! and its so much better than photoshop...if i were on me PC at home id show you how awesome it made one of me photos of Loomis look...

hey Karen do you have MS Paint? (thats something i dont get anymore since i made the great Linux switch) you should be able to resize it there and convert said image to either jpeg or gif (the latter is better for smaller stuff)

I have photoshop, and ACDSEE and I am no computer moron btw....
but photoshop makes it SO SMALL
I can't seem to get a normal siz pic into the gay ass 7000 bytes that UM demands....
