Has anyone here compared them?
I'm getting the new PT system in a few days and am really looking forward to comparing heat to Phoenix, but i always like to read any info about it beforehand to strengthen the anticipation

Well Heat are more of a saturation plugin, like Slates VCC. And aren't phoenix more of a tape plugin?

not to derail the thread but just to clear something up.. The VCC isn't a saturation plugin, and hearing actual saturation with it happens only in the rare chance that someone REALLY slams the mixbuss..

yeah, his website is pretty....well, not "pretty"
reminds me a bit of the first webpages I saw in the early 90ies....

damn, back then I had one of the best computers in my class, it had a ONE GIGABYTE HDD...that was MASSIVE!

He is going to move away from tdm and transfering his plugin to RTAS (only). Will take its time until RTAS-plugins are done he said.

Things can still saturate, without hearing the actual distortion right??
