Axe-FX includes a "borrowed" IR?

I was talking with my dad about this, and he said hard shit for releasing it to the public domain :( I agree its totally savage morally though, but fookin morals dont seem to exist much these days, especially when it comes to business.

man. i really wanted an AxeFX too! not so much now. there's probably a good chance there is more IRs and maybe other 'borrowed' tech on those. never thought about it, but that IS fucking lazy of them!! +1 TheDriller

Guys, relax.

A year ago TheDriller went from 100% pirate to 100% legit, and now you're suddenly Mr. Moral?

Cyanide_Anima: You went legit in November, from having "everything but my copy of cubase le and the line 6 plugs, was pirated. it was the ***** bundle, and a ton of synths i had. since i moved to mac in november i've been legit. it feels good."

Did you miss to read the EULA? No readme?

Free stuff without any disclaimer is....free stuff. That's it. If people wouldn't collect everything, throw away the "readme.txt" and make a big ass rar out of it, this wouldn't have happened. Now it did happen, he apologized, and that should be it.

This changed your opinion ? wow, i suggest you go on a everything-free diet and move into the wilderness, because during one day you're going through all sorts of products who's companies piss on their labour force, bend the law like crazy and so on.

Why all of a sudden this huge wave of self-righteousness ? you'd think the guy was murdering baby seals with his own hands.

Agreed, but I'm not expecting this from a company...
If you find something on the net this doesn't allow you to include it on your commercial (or even free) product.
It's like Native Instruments or IK Multimedia or any other company including Wagner Sharp on their vsts since it's free...

(BTW, many of these are included with a certain VST plug-in, the names slightly changed.)
This is not cool, if you ask me...

I agree with you. I really do. I wouldn't have done it like that. I've never said it's cool either. It's the witch hunt I'm reacting on. I've been a victim of that in the past (Clawfinger riding the Nu-metal wave?), and it's just stupid human behavior. I've made my point, and I'll do no more bashing/annoying posts. Not here at least. ;)

Damn, so it was true. I'm not going on a witch-hunt here, but if I'd pay $1500 for a high-quality guitar processor unit, I would definitely expect it to be carefully crafted all the way. Grabbing random IR's from the web and including them on a pricey unit with no mentioning of their origin is a stupid mistake even if you won't consider the ethical points, but because it will backfire like it did this time.
