Islam is forced down your throat, people worship it blindly through fear, and to break away causes outburst. It's even entwined within the culture where the traditions are now based on religous morals and ruling.
Are you implying that Christianity DOESN'T entwine within western culture and that its traditions aren't based on Christian morals and ruling?

It does, but not the way Islam does. Most American laws (at least the basic ones) are obviously based in Christian tradition, but are not wholly exclusive to Christianity, many extend from common sense. Muslim countries use all the rules of Islam to govern. For example, you don't see women in American having to dress a certain way, unless dictated by fashion of course. :)

Not nearly as much (at least in the countries I have lived - UK and USA). I *think* what I'm trying to say is that in Christian lands today, which are predominantly in the west, people are offered values OUTSIDE of their religous ruling - such as free speech and freedom of choice. That is because there is segregation between religion and government.

Most Islamic countries do not even comprehend the notion of freedom of thought. The very idea of NOT believing in Allah is incomprehensible therefore. This has in turn ruined an ancient culture that was once abundant with philosophy, ideologies, science, mathematics, religous-free poetry etc, and has now been taken over by this vile religious cult we call Islam.

To be pedantic, it is also incorrect to say that Islamic countries are run by Islamic governments. The reason being, the people who run the governments are inherently religous to begin with (since it's part of the culture and tradition now). It's a vicous circle, if that makes sense.

But many extend from common sense from your christianized point of view. I'm not saying you're alone or counscious of the fact but it is so.

I wouldn't consider myself Christianized, I've been arguing against Christianity since before you was born, lad. :p

I suppose the term I should have used was natural law instead of common sense. Survival of the human race depends on certain laws, which were around long before Christianity documented (took credit for) them.

Say westerized, then, but my point is still the same. Why shouldn't man kill, etc? At least those who serve no purpose to the survival of the human race should be extinguished.

Anyone notice that this thread is similar to "Randy Macho Man Savage makes a CD" according to UM.com?

You beg the question who serves no purpose, far be it from me to decide which people are worthless, because honestly, I think the vast majority of human beings are pretty worthless other than for breeding purposes, myself included. Then again maybe someday I'll create the cure for cancer, but even still, my purpose served was just to make others survive, who also served a worthless purpose. When it all comes down to it, nobody really matters all that much in the grand scheme of things.

Note: forgive my alleged pessimism, I do believe that people matter on a small scale, just not that we all have some duty to this earth or universe or deity or something.

Alright, well then survival of the fittest kicks in, which I believe it does. Modern medicine gets in the way though.

Still though, it's pretty difficult to determine which make the human race stronger. Are we talking physical strength or mental strength? Ability to adapt in multiple environments or ability to easily compute linear algebra?

The question of who should and should not survive is too heavy for me, I'd just rather yell at stupid people and feel better about myself instead, which reminds me, I haven't been to the mall in years.

Just vile. How do they honestly get away with making statements such as this? The Vatican should be prevented from making public announcements which are so obviously laced with bullshit. If you want to go hear what the Pope has to say, then by all means go listen, but keep it locked behind closed doors away from people who live on planet Earth.

Megadeth rules.

Nice article Erik, somehow I missed that one yesterday. That is truly disgusting. What is that African myth, something like if you get HIV but plug a virgin you're cured? I wouldn't be surprised if that began with the Vatican.

Africa is doomed. We were talking about this recently that, in our lifetimes, we'll probably witness the extinction of almost an entire continent through AIDS, tribal warfare, genocide, famine etc. I think it's AIDS though that will accelerate the death rate, and there are evangelists/missionaries out there preaching the word of the Vatican gospel.

Eh, the next ice age will get everyone else.

I hope monkeys take over after humans chance is done, I'll bet they'll make better movies than us.

Yeah but I'll bet he makes shitty movies, if he could figure out how to work a camera (or a door knob, a pencil, anything really).

Yeah but I liked his cabinet to be. And he wasn't Bore either. Doesn't matter though, I can rest easy at night knowing that the electoral votes in California didn't go to the man, so technically speaking, I DIDN'T vote for him. Yes... that's the ticket...
